Meet the team of Cross Road Dental Clinic

Dr Christine Brzezniak graduated from Adelaide University in 2010 and since then she has worked in various private practices in Adelaide. In late 2015 she met Dr Anthony Hoimes, and after speaking to him she realised that they shared the same passion for dentistry and running a dental practice. By 2016 her biggest dreams came to fruition when she was able to purchase the practice from Dr Hoimes and become the principal dentist and leader of the team.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with particular interest in root canal therapy, dental implants, Invisalign and full mouth rehabilitation. She strongly believes that all dental problems are preventable and dental care should be affordable and simple; therefore, her focus is on preventive care, applying a minimally invasive approach to her treatments, and tailoring the best treatment plan for her patients. She is very knowledgeable, efficient, gentle and her enthusiastic personality will make your visit pleasant and enjoyable.

Christine has been attending continuing professional education courses since graduating. She obtained her Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology (PGCert (Dent Imp)), from the California Implant Institute in America and has been working closely with implant specialists in Adelaide, aiming to deliver the best results for her patients. She also gained valuable knowledge of full mouth rehabilitation, also known as Smile Makeover, from a mini-residency of prosthodontics, provided by one of the most well-known teaching centres at CEO Dental Brisbane. She is excited to see how having a new smile can change someone’s life. In addition, Christine has been an Invisalign certified provider since 2012. Her passion for dentistry constantly drives her to explore new aspects in the dental field and in providing new opportunities for her patients.

Parallel with Christine’s passion for dentistry, she has a huge interest in cosmetic injectables and facial aesthetics. This includes, but is not limited to, muscle relaxant injections, e.g., Botox, cosmetic fillers and growth factor concentrated blood micro needling. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and experience for other parts of cosmetic injectables, such as thread lift, fat reduction injection and more.

As the principal dentist at Cross Road Dental Care serving Plympton, Christine is actively involved in mentoring young dentists in the clinic and ensuring that all services provided meet high standards.

Christine was born in China and moved to Australia in 2004 to study Dentistry. After graduatin,g she married a dental technician and made Adelaide her home. She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Nadia is a dedicated dental professional who is passionate about forming strong relationships with each patient in her chair. While she understands that visiting the dentist can be daunting for some, she aims to provide the most comfortable experience possible.
Born in Singapore, Nadia moved to Australia to pursue dentistry at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2023. Despite being the youngest dentist in the clinic, Nadia is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge and skills in all aspects of general dentistry to deliver the best possible care for all her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Nadia is a sports enthusiast who loves playing Badminton and has recently embarked on a journey into Tennis. She also enjoys a game of chess every now and then to tickle her brain, although it may not be her forte. Beyond the board and the courts, she is an avid pet lover and finds joy in the company of her two rescued cats! With a bubbly demeanour, Nadia hopes to spread positivity and warmth to all.

Joan is a dentist who is deeply passionate about her work and her patients. Coming from a large family, she loves building connections with families and patients of all ages at Cross Road Dental.

Joan’s personal dental journey and experience working with patients from different backgrounds has shaped her firm belief that good and compassionate dentistry makes a difference. It has also influenced her gentle and personalised approach towards caring for her patients. Joan is committed to ongoing education and professional development, and she has a special clinical interest in preventative dentistry and TMJ (temporomandibular joint) problems.

Outside of the dental clinic, you can find Joan at dance, yoga or pilates. Since she was young, she has explored various forms of dance from classical ballet to contemporary, lyrical and jazz. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially over trying the newest matcha and dessert offerings.

Faris graduated from the University of Adelaide completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2023. Born in Singapore, Faris moved to Adelaide in 2019 to pursue dentistry.
He has growing interests in fixed prosthodontics eg. crowns & implants, paediatric dental care & is also looking to further expand his knowledge & skill set in all the other aspects of dentistry.
Faris is caring and patient & takes pride in building rapport with patients, ensuring that they receive the best care.
Outside of work, Faris actively goes to the gym to stay healthy & fit. He also enjoys playing and watching all kinds of sports & recreational activities such as football (or soccer), F1 & go karting. Being young at heart, he also loves gaming on his PlayStation 5 to take his mind off of work!

Onethra is a dedicated and compassionate Oral Health Therapist who recently graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2024. With a passion for connecting with patients of all ages, she takes pride in creating a positive and welcoming dental experience.
Having a keen interest in periodontal management and orthodontics, Onethra enjoys helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. Whether it’s providing personalised advice on how to prevent or manage dental diseases or working with teens and adults on their orthodontic journeys, she is committed to providing gentle, patient-centred care to their needs.
Outside of the clinic, Onethra enjoys exploring new places to eat, going for walks, and indulging in a good horror movie.
She looks forward to meeting you and supporting your oral health journey as part of the friendly dental team in Plympton.

Christine is one of our registered hygienists; she graduated from the Diploma of Dental Hygiene in 2000. Bringing many years of dental experience, Christine joined the Cross Road Dental team in 2013. Christine is an enthusiastic, passionate and gentle hygienist who is committed to her role with its key focus on prevention. She educates her patients to the best of her ability so that together they can achieve good oral health.

Over the years, Christine has worked alongside cosmetic, prosthodontic and tooth erosion specialists. During her 2 years in the ACT she was part of the executive team in the ACT Dental Hygiene Association, and she is a current member of the SA Dental Hygiene Association.

Christine has also completed qualifications in bleaching and as a licensed Orthopantomogram (OPG) radiographer. She has also given voluntary talks to primary schools and nursing homes and also enjoys keeping up to date with the latest procedures and equipment by attending regular courses.

She is a mother to 3 wonderful children. Her interests are home renovation shows and socialising with friends. Christine was born and raised in Adelaide and is also fluent in Greek.

Jaymie graduated from the Advanced Diploma of Oral Health in 2018 and was awarded the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler award for overall excellence.

Jaymie has been working in the dental industry since 2015 and has experience working both in rural and metropolitan South Australia. She is passionate and committed to providing gentle dental care to patients of all ages. A firm believer that prevention is far superior to cure, she focuses on early intervention, prevention, and education as part of the experienced dental team in Plympton.

Jazel Reid is a registered Dental Hygienist with over 12 years of experience and has worked in a family practice and corporate practice. She graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Oral Health in 2011. She was awarded the ” Jane Chalmers Memorial Award ” for Excellence in Geriatrics and Special Needs Dentistry.
Known for her compassionate, empathetic and gentle approach, Jazel is committed to making each patient’s dental visit a positive and educational experience. She takes the time to educate patients about the importance of oral health and collaborates with them to create personalized home care plans that promote long-term wellness.
Jazel is not just a dental hygienist, she is a healthcare professional who values building lasting relationships with patients. Through a combination of experience, empathy, and a passion for promoting oral health, Jazel strives to make a positive impact on the well-being of those she serves.

Nicole is our Practice Manager and has been working at Cross Road Dental since 2012. Over the years Nicole has continued her education in the dental field and in 2018 she completed her Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene).

Nicole is committed to providing a friendly and professional environment and believes in building a strong relationship with our patients.

During her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Tiarne is one of our friendly receptionists who you will also see chair-side assisting the dentists. She completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting in 2018. Tiarne has a caring nature and is passionate about helping others. She is well organised and enjoys working as part of a team. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, going to the beach and spending time with family, friends and her two golden retrievers!

Anne has recently joined the practice in 2018 having many years of dental experience, particularly in Orthodontics and Periodontics.Anne enjoys interacting with our patients and her colleagues and helping patients feel at ease.In her spare time, Anne likes to socialise with family and friends and have a laugh!

With a background in childcare and a passion for working with people, Maya brings warmth, patience, and a friendly smile to the front desk. New to the dental field, Maya’s excited to be a part of a team that helps others feel confident and cared for. She loves meeting new faces, making patients feel welcome, and creating a positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Outside of work, you’ll find Maya enjoying the beach, soaking up the sun, and spending time with friends and family.

Erin (or Ezz as she is affectionately known) has been a dental nurse since 2010 and joined the Cross Road Dental team in 2014. Ezz is passionate about providing a high level of customer care and brings a lot of smiles and positive energy to our clinic. As head dental nurse, Ezz’s role is to assist the dentist in preparing the correct equipment and materials for each treatment, and ensuring patient comfort throughout each procedure. When she’s not in with the dentist, Ezz also works on the reception desk where she takes bookings and performs administrative duties.

Ezz’s interests outside of work include catching up with friends, travelling and binge-watching Netflix.

In 2019, Laura migrated from her country Colombia, where she worked as a professional dentist alongside her father owner of a dental clinic. Laura joined the CRD family towards the end of 2021 and is enjoying her now as a dental assistant in her spare time loves exploring new places around Australia.

Bella started her dental nursing career in 2024 and joined the Cross Road Dental team soon after. Bella is passionate and eager to learn and improve her dental nursing skills.
She is bubbly, and has a caring and friendly nature which helps to make patients feel welcome and also helps to calm any nervous patients.
In her spare time, Bella enjoys baking cakes, spending time at the beach and being active at the gym.

Ciara is deeply passionate about ensuring all patients feel comfortable and well-cared for in the clinic. Outside of work, she enjoys attending dance classes each week and spending quality time with her three dogs.

Chelsea is passionate about providing reliable customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanour. She thrives on staying active and maintaining a balanced lifestyle through the gym. Chelsea enjoys spending her free time with friends and family.

Anna is an upbeat team member who loves chatting and getting to know new people. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, going to the gym and socialising with her friends.
